What Things Cost in Pattaya
All figures below were checked in September 2026. Thai prices move, and the baht bus fare in particular changed recently, so treat this as a dated snapshot rather than a fixed price list.
Getting around
The baht bus, or songthaew, is ฿15 for a standard ride along the Beach Road and Second Road loop, and ฿20 if you continue south past Chaiyapruek into Jomtien. That is a recent change: the fare sat at ฿10 for close to thirty years and rose in 2026, so most older guides and a great deal of forum advice still quote the old price. Motorbike taxis run ฿40 to ฿80 for a short hop, agreed before you get on. Grab costs roughly ฿80 to ฿150 across town and ฿150 to ฿250 from Central Pattaya out to Jomtien; Bolt usually comes in ฿20 to ฿50 cheaper on the same route.
The boat to Koh Larn
The public ferry from Bali Hai Pier is ฿30 each way and takes 40 to 45 minutes. The first departure is around 07:00 and the last boat back from Na Baan leaves around 17:30 — miss it and you are staying the night. A shared speedboat costs ฿100 to ฿200 per person and cuts the crossing to 15 or 20 minutes, while a private charter runs ฿1,500 to ฿2,500 for the whole boat. Ferry times shift with the season and the weather, so confirm the last return at the pier when you arrive rather than trusting a schedule you read online.
Attractions
The Sanctuary of Truth charges ฿500 for adults and ฿250 for children, and opens daily from 08:00 to 18:00 with last entry around 17:00.

Median rates for two people in December 2026, across 111 Pattaya properties with at least a hundred reviews each: about ฿1,750 on Koh Larn, ฿1,900 in Jomtien, ฿2,300 in Central Pattaya, ฿3,650 on Pratumnak, ฿3,760 on Beach Road and ฿5,450 in North Pattaya. Those are pre-tax figures.
