Checked September 2026. The single most useful thing to know about this stretch is that the whole of it is walkable, and that the two ends people ask about are closer together than the map makes them look.

Bali Hai Pier to the Walking Street entrance is about 905 metres — roughly a ten-minute walk along the waterfront, or about three minutes by taxi. If you are coming off the Koh Larn ferry with a day bag, walking it is usually faster than waiting for a ride.

Walking Street runs one way only for foot traffic after it closes to vehicles in the evening, so a taxi or baht bus drops you at the Beach Road entrance rather than inside it. Plan the last stretch on foot in both directions.
